Start with some Heptones, Jacob Miller/Inner Circle, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Delroy Wilson, Toots & the Maytals, and some Lee "Scratch" Perry and King Tubby for some of the best Dub.

I've taken down ... tons of music over the years ..in CD format & memory sticks - 2 or 4 gig ...& handed them out to various bars ( Canoe/ Mom's Place ) & tourists - ( Groove 16 & random people )
I did a music swap on here a few years ago
U can get music from youtube ..by right clicking on the video ( & copying the URL ) ..in another window have a youtube to MP3 converter ,,paste the URL ..download -& open to an Itunes account
Audio only ..no video...I'll hit up someones channel ..& surf away

    Slightly knows his stuff.
Some artists that he hasn't mentioned:

Old stuff: Hopeton Lewis, John Holt, The Paragons, Phillys Dillon, The Melodians, The Techniques.
Check out The Slackers for new stuff. Also check out The Bluebeats for some recent (mid 90's) stuff that is a throwback to the trad stuff.

A great comp that I have is "20 Greatest Hits of Treasure Isle Vol. I" if you just want to look that up and not have to do too much digging.
