We arrive at Sunset at the Palms in less than a week and I have a few questions I haven't been able to get clear information on from looking at other sources. I'm hoping someone on the forum has been recently enough that maybe you could help?

On a couple sites I read that the resort has a shuttle but the details are sparse. Does it only run a couple times a week for specific trips (like to a nearby shopping area), or can you ask for a ride to other spots at any time? Is there a fee? Even if it only operates on specific days for specific outings I'd be really curious to hear more about those.

Also on some sites I read that the resort offers cooking and mixology classes but elsewhere I saw that's only at some of the other Sunset resorts and not SATP. ?? Then there's an occasional reference to Wednesday night lively entertainment and Saturday night beach parties but few reviews mention any of these things so I'm not sure if that information is old or if the resort still does any of that. If there are special events on site it would be nice to plan around them so we could spend time on property at those times and venture out when nothing else is going on.

Is bottled water readily available? Are there packaged snacks or foods like yogurt, granola bars or even unpeeled oranges and bananas available most of the day? We're planning to spend a fair amount of time off property, including several hours on a boat at least one day, and it would be great if we could grab water and some light snacks to bring along to hold us over between stops.

Are there locks on the doors to your room/cabin? I would assume so but DH is especially concerned with security whenever we travel so he wants to be sure that the property itself is secure as well as our room. I have no reason to think it wouldn't be, but confirmation of this would be lovely.

I bet I'll think of other questions but these are the ones I'm most curious about before we arrive. Thank you!
