Day Trip
Has anyone done the Jamaica Zipline Adventure Tour located in Lethe? We were thinking about doing that and combining it with a trip to Mayfield Falls? The other half really wants to try the zipline....myself, I'm happy kicking back with a drinkie poo in my hand, but gotta keep him happy too!
Mara...I've never done the Jamaica Zipline Adventure Tour...quite frankly, I didn't even know they were still around, but had heard good things about their zipline years ago. I've done the Zipline with Chukka Tours in Lethe...fun & professional.
Since you're considering a falls visit, have you thought of visiting YS Falls that offers ziplining right on their property. Maybe you're set on Mayfield though...which of course is more rustic but fabulous.

I'd love to go to both falls! They both look good...just may have to take the drinky poos along in the cooler though
There are 9 stations at Chukka and I believe only 3 at YS. The falls are beautiful as well as the grounds.
It took me about 4 runs at Chukka before I could open my eyes and feel comfortable. I'm not great with heights. The rest of it was a blast. It's like being in a jungle with a river running beneath you. Loved it and the guides were so entertaining.
Me and my family did the Mayfield Fields tour last Wednesday. It was awesome! I was unsure about giving up a day on the beach also - but so glad we did. The drive up to the Falls (ask your driver to go the long way) was beautiful. The water was very clean and refreshing. Lunch was good (fish, fried chicken and brown stew chicken) and not too expensive. We had our driver stop on the way (and back!) for some Red Stripes...all was good.
We left Country Country at 9am and was back by 3pm. BTW - Kingsley has a deal for a round trip airport transfer and a trip to Mayfield Falls for $200.
My wife and I did the Chukka trip several years ago and enjoyed it enough that we brought our oldest grandson down to enjoy Negril and went one more time. If I have one complaint, and I should say there's nothing that can be done about it, the scenery is spectacular but the speed of the zipline made me want it to travel in slow motion so I had more time to take it in between stations. Whatever you choose you'll enjoy, hard place to have a bad time.n stations. The comment above regarding the number stations sounds like the YS would be beautiful but short.
