One Love Bus Bar Crawl... 3 questions...

    1) What are the start and end times?

    2) How much cash do you recommend per person including tips for the driver at at the bars?

    3) How many bars usually?

    Thanks!

    1) Start time depends on where your resort is located. Lenbert starts on the Bloody Bay end and works his way towards the cliffs making stops to pick people up. He starts picking people up in the Bloody Bay area around 2:15. Lenbert will usually do one more bar after sunset before he starts dropping people off at their resorts. usually back at your resort by 7:00 - 7:30

    2) We usually take $150 for the two of us. (and have some left over) Beer is usually about $3-$4 per stop and there is usually about 7 stops.

    3) Usually around 7 stops with a great sunset bar picked out.

Hope this helps. Pub Crawl #8 and #9 coming up for us the last week of April! I guess that means we love it. Let me know if you have any more questions. I think I an familiar with you from another message board.

Big up for Lenbert's One Love Bus tour. We usually give him a US$10 per person tip and bring enough cash for drinks in all the pubs.

    Re: cash...

I figured $5 a stripe at about 7 bars (if I drank at each bar, which I think I did!), plus a little extra for the kids, a snack, and what not... I think I gave Lenbert $10 but might have gone $20 after those 7 beers! Haha

I used US dollars last time. But I want to exchanging money this time and use JA.

Please do not pass out money to the kids. If you want to bring them gifts, that's fine, but passing out money is like teaching them how to beg off of tourists.

Sorry, I didn't pass out cash. I did buy a bracelet and bought two little boys a ting. I understand your statement, and truly hope to have the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way. I'm a teacher and hope to volunteer in classrooms over the next several years. Unfortunately, it's hard taking time off for no pay on a teachers salary! So I did give in to the "tourist" thing, but only because my heart swelled with love. I know there are other avenues and I know I can't do what I wish I could... Yet!

Sadly, they already know how to beg. In special Ed and dog training,it's the slot machine effect. One time you hit the jackpot, you're not going to stop til you hit again. It reinforces behavior. It would take every person who visits Negril to never give a hand out to anyone for that to stop, and over quite some time. I don't want to be "the problem" but I would buy a kid in my own city a ting if he asked. It's just part of who I am.

Well, if we're going to use the slot machine analogy... if you were a gambler, would you hit the casino's known to have loose slots, or the ones that don't seem to pay off very much? And if everyone kept that attitude, the problem will always be there. I'll buy things if I feel like it, but I never just give things to people who ask for them. Sometimes I'll surprise someone with something small, just a gesture really, but that's about as far as I'll go with it. I don't want to be seen as a "loose slot" (still talking about casino's here people).

Sorry to start this conversation.. Not my point and not e focus of the pub crawl. Fact: kids are begging. Fact: I bought a bracelet and two tings. If that makes me the bad guy, I guess I am. I take responsibility for that. It's not my intention to hijack this thread , just telling my honest experience. Do what you will. If you don't want to be approached, stay away from tourist type attractions/areas... Or you can expect someone asking for something around every corner... Just my 2, nonjudgmental, cents...

I didn't buy something just because they asked for it... I bought it because I wanted to.
