Best thing to do is help inform people... I'm guessing most people don't know. There are a lot of illegal things being sold on the beach, but people sell because people buy![]()

I agree with LIT603. I just don't know how you would go about this. I mean; it's here on the board and likely on gov't web sites, but do people really take it seriously, if they even are aware of the message?
It's directly on the govt website:

Tell others about the closed seasons. Patronize only restaurants that refrain from serving conch or lobster during their closed season.

From my experience the major A/I's follow the rule, but as others have said its the wild, wild, west just about everywhere else.
We've seen people busted here...

VERY well put, LIT603! Educate ourselves! Watch the beach sellers - there's a size limit! 3.5 in carapace - one of the guys on the beach was selling them and they were the size of the shrimp in the shrimp ring from Costco! You won't believe what he called little old me when I pointed this out ... Bumba-something woman! I don't think that's a good thing, in his eyes!
I keep this sign handy - it was at Three Dives. Triedto eat there last week but there was such a long line at the front counter ordering, we left and had a great meal at Di Bar (brother of Three Dives owner). There was no music on at all (I look forward to roots reggae) at 3 Dives! Maybe the selector was making adjustments...
