Is it my imagination, or did you just say we are going back next week? Great idea! Meet you at the airport?

Re: Port Antonio Trip Report coming up shortly
My boyfriend and I have been to Port Antonio twice in the last few years. It is so different from Negril, there is no one coming and asking things of you. We really enjoyed the difference of that side of the island. Flew into Kingston and had a driver bring us up there. The vibe is very nice and relaxed . The beaches are very different, the water is not warm like in Negril. You can do surfing at some beaches. Plants and flowers are different and lots of beautiful humming birds everywhere that you can watch drink. We stayed both times at Moon San Villa which is beside the Blue Lagoon. There are public beaches and then places like Frenchmans which you pay to go as it is a resort. There is a stream of cold fresh water that comes across and into the ocean. There are little fishes in the stream and you can just sit down in the water and they come up to you. You also have Reich Falls, very nice but bring your water shoes as lots of pebbles. You must take the bike tour. A minibus will pickup and bring you up into the mountains. The roads are shear drops so do not look if you get afraid. The mist covers everything in the mornings and it is so beautiful. They serve breakfast and then outfit you with knee and elbow pads and a bike. The ride is all downhill and you have guides and the minibus following you if you need a break. You stop at a waterfall off the road that you can climb down to and cool off. After the riding you get back on the bus and go back up for lunch and a rest and then back to town It is really really worth taking.
There is a large variety and pricing of places to stay but not as many places to eat at Negril.
Very relaxing, we were so so glad that we had gone there.
