Quick Visit Report

Just returned from a quick 4 night trip to the cliffs and had an awesome time. Stayed at the Spa Retreat (have stayed prior at Rockhouse but was booked). Hotel was absolutely beautiful Seaside Cottages were large well appointed, great views. Staff at the hotel was exceptional, and bar and restaurant very good. Doesn't quite have the charm of the Rockhouse but overall a good stay. This was a quick visit mostly eating, drinking and chilling but a couple of standouts:

Linston met us at the airport, right on time, great driver, nicer guy, he made the drive even with midday traffic in Mobay a pleasure, highly recommend.

BTW, Club Mobay at the airport is a tremendous luxury. If you appreciate a little extra service and feeling pampered it is a great experience, wish they had something similar at every airport

Sunset Couples Massage at Tanyas secret was a great experience. Tanya is lovely and both she and her partner give exceptional massages and very reasonable rates, and the setting is great

Did a half day with Reggae Horseback riding, and had a great time. They arranged transportation a nice 30 minute drive to the hills. We were met by 2 guides, it was just me and my wife, and we rode off into the lovely countryside. At the halfway point we reached the beach and had a great ride along the beach, suited to your own ability. I am a rider my wife a beginner, and then rode the horses into the ocean for a swim, just an amazing experience. If you want to get a little off the beaten path with a very laid back, nice riding experience this is the way to go.

Food was hit and miss, mostly hits. Had loved previous meals at Pushcart, still a great place but the food was just so/so. Food at the hotel was consistently good, not a wow, but good. Dinner at Ivan's was exceptional, great place, great service, excellent food, an all around perfect evening.

On the jerk front, I have been a big fan of 3 Dives, but the service was so slow that it really detracted, and we are fine with typically slow Island service. Best of the West won the contest this trip, great food, good service and cocktails, only wish their sauce was a little hotter.

Trip was too short, but all good now I can look forward to next time. Cool Runnings.

The cost was $70/per person + transportation which was $40 round trip total, including a few stops. We also of course tipped the guides.
