Marys Beach ?

I have seen a few references to a beach at Canoe Bar. What is there exactly.
Is it rocks you can go across to get into water, or is it a real beach you can sit on and go into water to swim. Do not know West End very much.
I love the 7 mile beach but would like a change from time to time.
