Thanks for the info. I am not looking to drink said alcohol. I am going to be using it as a solvent to make medicine. The alcohol content needs to be 95% or higher.

Any hardware stores, pharmacy's, or grocery stores in the area sell 99% isopropyl alcohol(not the denatured kind)?

    Thanks

I'm only seeing 70% here...the pharmacies aren't carrying more than that...will keep my eyes open...it may be banned here

I have kept my eyes open for such things when in Jamaica, have never seen anything more than overproof rum.

You might want to look into rosin tech, you'll only need parchment paper and a hair straightener for that.

I think you could probably manage to travel with a small amount of isopropyl, but that's never been my first... or second... or even third choice when making medicine.

Please don't even think about ingesting isopropyl alcohol. Please read this MSDS: http://babec.org/files/MSDS/isopropanol.pdf

He was talking about using it as a solvent and then evaporating off all the isopropyl alcohol. If done properly there is no isopropyl alcohol in the final product. That being said, there are solvents that work much better in this application for multiple reasons.
