Does anyone on the board know what a 1lb. of Blue Mountain Coffee is going for at the MoBay airport duty free store? Most stores in Negril ask $25.00 a lb.

Usually $30-35/lb
I saw 24.99 on an 8oz package at the Mobay airport. Thought I got a good deal at one of the stores (sorry, forget which one) at Times Square - 16 us for 8oz. This was two weeks ago.
We paid $25 at Mobay airport. When buying else where be cautious where you are buying it.. look for any little critters that might be crawling around in the package...we've seen ants in ours before. Make sure the store shelves look clean!
Just came home on Monday, it was $45.00 LB! First time I can remember I didn't bring any back.
buy your Jamaican coffee online . save big
You can get excellent Blue Mountain coffee from a number of suppliers on Ebay. The best one is Lina Coffee Roasters out of Canada. I've tried all the local sellers in Negril, used to search all the stores in Jamaica and it became such a hassle and waste of time that purchasing it online is so much easier. Lina sells Wallenford Estate; all vacuumed packed and authentic as can be. Less then $20 a pound when bought in 10 lb quantity. I live in Florida and it usually takes about 2 weeks for it to arrive. Make sure you order the "dark roast" as that is more typical to the flavor you'll experience in Jamaica. I'll be up in the Blue Mountains in about two weeks touring the Old Tavern Coffee Estate...can't wait...

I don't agree with the dark roast part, at most it should be medium roast. Dark roast destroys the delicate flavor of Blue Mountain coffee, as well as reducing the caffeine.
I bought some on ebay a few years ago and it was stale when I got it, I believe it was from a Canadian outfit.
Blue Mountain Coffee contains 1/3 less caffeine than most other coffee, so if you're drinking BMC for it's caffeine content, you're cheating yourself. Secondly, the dark roast brings out the boldness (and smoothness at the same time) of the BMC for which it is famously known. And, if you read the reviews of Lina's medium roast (or city roast as they call it) many agree that it's just too light i.e. no flavor.
