    Re: Snorkeling

I used to go out past the all inclusives to a little beach with really good snorkelling. There is a little gap in the fence and a path that leads to an area where a bunch of fishing boats are and there is a real cool little beach there and we always had it to ourself. Not sure if that area has been developed yet because it's been about 7 yrs since my last trip but I hope it's still just like it was. Also there's lots off good snorkelling along the cliffs. You can check out Rhodes hall resort. They have a website and I believe for $15 they will come get you in Negril and bring u there to enjoy the property. There is a reef not to far from shore that is supposed to have good snorkelling. I always bring my own snorkelling gear and go as much as I can. Haven't been to Rhodes hall resort yet but plan to go this year and do as much snorkelling as I can. I always do at least one trip to the reef in Negril and one time I went to a reef a little further out from the one most boats bring you to and there is much more to see at that reef. Also there is pretty good snorkelling infront of point village but not sure if you can get water access there if you are not staying there. I went once years ago when a friend stayed there and snorkelling was really good just offshore between there and booby cay. Have fun and I hope you find some great spots to enjoy the sea life

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I know the area well. We snorkeled there for many years.
Unfortunately, that whole area is now part of Little Bay Country Club, which is a gated community of 171 residential units.

    Here's what you remember:

    Here's what's there now:
