Snorkeling

I think most of the glass bottom boats that do the reef and snorkelling trips are based on the beach or at the pier by the mouth of the river but there may be some that operate from the cliffs but for a fee I am sure most little fishing boats would take you out to the reef if you have your own gear. Not positive of the price but I think it's around $25 to $30 to go on a glass bottom snorkelling trip to the reef. If you go to the reef bring some bread to feed the fish

If you're able to get back in without a ladder (which I really can't any longer - being female and Medicare eligible), going out to the reef with Keith on his catamaran is a great thing to do. I think he charges pretty much the same as the glass-bottom boats. He usually hangs out at the north end of the beach near SeaSplash or the former Seawind. We also snorkel off the cliffs - either at Xtabi or Rockhouse - and just buy lunch there afterwards.

Also, I'm opposed to any feeding of the fish. Snorkel operators did this routinely when I was in Belize recently and it made me very uncomfortable. At least in Belize they used "chum" - i.e., bait fish, not bread or any other substance not encountered by the fish in their natural habitat.

Simply give us a call at 876-957-6422 the day before. We offer
complimentary transportation and waive the $10 USD per person Day Pass
for guests staying in Negril area hotels. Pick up is at 9:30 am, and

remember it's based on weather
permitting as sometimes the seas get rough and the visibility for
snorkeling is poor.

I can not I am after surgery on my right knee. The entire trip is the purpose to work on bending this knee as mush as possible. I will need a latter
