i get this '''...DON'T wanna leave...''' feeling
...the *feel-ing* hit me HARD this evening
on my taxi ride back to Lucea-town/country
after
a great-day walking around Negril

In the taxi,
i got a front seat,
and
looked UP........... a FULL-moon [[ in early stages ]]]

Have YOU ever been in Jamaica when der a full moon..??..

so pretty
...a special vibe comes over the place

1..Weather..?? --- GREAT..!!! ... tropical ... no rain ... not many clouds ... temperatures PERFECT ... just a teeny-weeny bit humid ...today, not much breeze ... sea calm calm

2...Food..?? --- as usual,,,, GOOD..!!!..

3...Beer..??... ---- wet ... both hot & cold

4...Ja-people..??.. ---- no change .... STiLL loving & fantastic

5...foreign/tourist..??... ------ HapPpy..!!..

Oldtimer! Nice. Not been on this board for a bit. Him member of the 'board of the banned'. Good Canadian maritime guy though. Happy you are having a great Jamaica experience Bill. Know what those special moments in Jamaica mean too. Always will remember walking nighttime on the West End Road and looking up into the black sky and seeing for the first time thousands and thousands of bright stars. Haven't seen it since; thanks to development etc. ( but thankful to have seen it just once).

i dunno WhAT it is,,, BUT Negril is a special place
as you-all know,
i spend a lot of time over-here in Lucea area,
but
TODAY,,, IN Negril .... i had an EXCELLENT day..... fell in love with the place all-over-again.

in fact,
gonna go BACK
..maybe Monday..
and JUMP into that sea....!!!...

i walked from the airport/craftmarket area
to
TimesSquare

'twas BIG fun, and excitment all-the-while

Church --- Palm Sunday

slept ALMOST too long/late
:-(
but was only 30-minutes late for church

good crowd ---- 89+% woe-mons, in attendance
and 100% woe-mons on the platform, running things, except for the preacher... who gave a rouse-ing sermon.

they had a special tribute & recognition for the young-girls

a highlight of the services
was
from time-to-time, the congregation would wave wave wave their palm fronds
back & forth ... back & forth ..... in the air

.then,
it was OFF to Negril...!!..

..the Hanover-side
is blow-ing UP...!!!..

you won't believe the new & interesting attractions & businesses that are down on that end of the beach/beach-road ........... and MORE IS COME-ing..!!..

they got what look like condos .. a gated community thing-y in final stages of completion ... ready for occupants.


they got this ''.Broadwalk..'' thing-y,,, which is NICE..!!..

and a whole-heap of other things/places.

i regret that that i didn't go check out ''..Office of Nature..'' ... but something(?) is going on over-there.

as most know,
GrandLido and some other places have been torn-DoWN
and new stuff being constructed.

BUT,
some of these new construction resort thing-ys look like they gonna be TALL..!!!..

maybe 3,,, 4,,, or 5 stories up-in-the-air

lot of construction workers
...was *told* some of 'em be working ALL NIGHT LONG..... they got big big lights ... at night lit-UP like NewYork city

....didn't see Ray ... he a hard man to link with [[ for me ]]
......wife fill me in on this & that ::::: known her & Ray from my FIRST trip, a few years back
