    Thanks Vince.
    Dreams come true sometimes.
Being retired gives us the time to do something and we feel we can help make a difference in our little community. In addition to the guest room plans, we are going to organize "bar-hopping" runs to the many tiny wooden bars around us.

Mountain bars are popular hangouts for locals and visitors are warmly welcomed too.

    You might:
Have animated conversations about life- everything from soccer to racism to US politics and Donald Trump
Watch a loud game of domino's- join in if you dare-lol!
Watch as someone pours overproof on the floor and a Rasta blesses and dances around the flames.
Madly dance to Marley or modern music and later realize you were the only tourist there.
Repeat at as many bars as needed- lol.

    Oh Linder
    What a beautiful dream!!!
Please let us all know when your bar hopping run is available. I would absolutely love to see your community and I would feel most privileged to see a Rasta blessing and dance!
Also, I feel your pain with the snow....ours is supposed to be here tonight.
    Cool runnings!

Years if ever. There's a lot of stalled building projects. Food and clothing take priority- many of my neighbors live in them and do a tiny bit each year. The one in the picture seems empty. And the boy is one of my many "grandkids". School is not a priority either when food is scarce so at 7 years old he is still working on learning his ABC's. His father works construction but as you know wages are way too low here.

Guest Rooms are in the plans as well as the yard is going to be planted with a huge veggie garden, more fruit trees and lots of herbs and things. The yard slopes down a long ways before yielding to a bamboo forest.

Dogs, Cats, Chickens, Mongoose, or Goats. Never know what you will see on a stroll.

Wish I had some bird photos but they move too much. We see big green parrots, egrets, hummingbirds including "doctors", and many more.

No idea how the little frog got in our shower?????

Same here. Never seem to get to Negril. I think it's "rock gravity" Once you get into the hills it's hard to leave.
