A couple years ago, we had our driver take us there before we hit the Blue Hole. Part of the beach is rocky and you may find some fisherman working from this area. The other part of the beach is sandy and wide enough for chilling. The water is filled with sea grass, so be careful of sea urchins that may be lurking there. There was one small shack on the beach selling sodas and candy. It was closed when we arrived but a guy came out of the house across the street and opened it up for us. Didn't notice too many bars or restaurants around. There were a couple hotels/villas that might have a restaurant and welcome outside guests. For sure, it's not like 7 mile beach where you can walk down the beach or road and find a place for lunch and drinks. However, since you will have a car, you can always drive down the road a couple miles and find someplace that looks interesting. Honestly, when we were there the town was very sleepy (which can be a good thing). The only place we stopped was the actual beach, and we waited until we got to Blue Hole to have drinks.
