    Little Bay for the day

Looking to drive to Little Bay for a partial day trip. Thinking of a mid morning to late afternoon trip the first week of May. Just looking to chill on the beach for while, lunch and some cool beverages. Have never been to Little Bay and was wondering what to expect. We are two early to mid fifties couples that think we are still in our early to mid thirties. Any suggestions for people, places, or businesses to visit would be respectively welcomed.

A couple years ago, we had our driver take us there before we hit the Blue Hole. Part of the beach is rocky and you may find some fisherman working from this area. The other part of the beach is sandy and wide enough for chilling. The water is filled with sea grass, so be careful of sea urchins that may be lurking there. There was one small shack on the beach selling sodas and candy. It was closed when we arrived but a guy came out of the house across the street and opened it up for us. Didn't notice too many bars or restaurants around. There were a couple hotels/villas that might have a restaurant and welcome outside guests. For sure, it's not like 7 mile beach where you can walk down the beach or road and find a place for lunch and drinks. However, since you will have a car, you can always drive down the road a couple miles and find someplace that looks interesting. Honestly, when we were there the town was very sleepy (which can be a good thing). The only place we stopped was the actual beach, and we waited until we got to Blue Hole to have drinks.

    Thanks Mike-D,
I was just trying to get a feel for the area. We figured it was a quiet community. We'll see what happens, enjoy the ride and maybe do the blue hole as well.

I went to check out little bay cabins and spent the afternoon there. Bar and restaurant on the water....nice relaxing afternoon.
