30 years ago my wife and I began our life together with a honeymoon in Negril. We decided to return to Negril and renew our vows. This time the trip included our 3 children who are in their twenties, our daughter in law, and my mother who is 82. I have been reading this site for the past few months. A big thank you to all the posters. Because of your info I knew what I needed to know for money exchange, taxis and the best places to eat!

We arrived in Mobay mid afternoon and after customs (which was not too painful) we met our driver. Carlton from Turner Taxi had our 1st cold red stripes ready for us and we were on our way. We made a quick stop in Lucea for our 1st case of red stripe, some patties, coffee and fruit for breakfast. We arrived at Gatehouse Villa around 5. This is the place on the same property as Tony's bar. It was a great set up for us. We each had our own room and could hang out together on the patio. We picked our rooms and went to the beach (which was our backyard) for a swim, drinks at Tony's and watch the sunset. Bourbon beach for dinner and it was a great start to our week.

Day 2 we were beach bums all day. Ate our 1st of many patties from Norman. They were the best. My daughter in law went through Norman with draw when she returned home. Woodstock for dinner and fire show. A pretty good day 2

Day 3 Carlton picked us up early for our trip to Black River, YS Falls and Appleton. On our trip back Carlton stopped at a road side jerk stand somewhere in St Elizabeth. The place was incredible. We filled up their only 2 tables and had a blast. We had our fill of the best tasting jerk pork. 8 of ate and drank for $48! Arrived back in time to catch the end of the Silver Birds show at Rondel Village.

Day 4 beach bums. Dinner at Cosmos. Another perfect day

Day 5 its my wife's birthday. I took her to Ivan's to celebrate. This place is special, the view, the food, the service it is all good. While we were gone our children baked a cake to surprise her. it was a lot of fun for them trying to figure the conversion to Celsius for the stove and trying to hang decorations with out tape.

Day 6 We celebrate our renewal. On the beach at sunset with our children taking turns reading us the vows. I bought some leather bracelets from the guy next to us to exchange because we can not get our rings off. This was followed by champagne and a lobster and chicken feast prepared by Tony. We ended the night at Tony's bar. It could not have been better. I think it was just as meaningful as our wedding 30 years ago.

Day 7 snorkel in the morning. The kids wanted to jump the cliffs at Rick so we went there in the afternoon and then to 3 dives for dinner. our last full day in Paradise.
Day 8 breakfast at Charela, a final red stripe at Tony's and off to the airport. This was the only bad part of the trip
