Any advice on where to get genuine Cuban cigars? I am willing to pay for the real thing and don't want to get ripped off by a counterfeit

    La Casa Del Habano
Shop #9 Half Moon Rock Resort Rosehall
    Montego Bay

It is 10min or so east of the airport. Guy that runs the humidor is Rajkumar Sablani 876-881-6776. This is the official cuban store. The cigars range in price between $20-35. If you don't plan on buying from there I suggest bringing your own. There is a shop in the airport near the food court, but the prices are very high. $44 for a Cohiba, $30 for a 4" x 52 R&J.

I agree with jsteil. The only place you can be sure to get autentic premium Cuban cigars and not couterfeits is at the La Casa Del Habano shops in Jamaica such as the one in Mo Bay. Even the ones they sell at the airports in Cuba are suspect so I would not bet the farm that the ones at the airport in Jamaica are genuine. With that said, SOME of the Cuban counterfeits can be great cigars but not worth the money they go for.

I generally buy one cigar and smoke it to know whether it is good. Doesn't matter if it is authentic Cuban because it can be trash if not stored correctly. So if it tastes good, it draws well, and has a nice long ash as the cigar burns - I will buy more.

Yup, this. I picked up a Cohiba when I was golfing at Rose Hall - was expensive, was legit.
