Marko, we have never declared any of the spices, but did have problems getting an "unfinished" wood carving back to the states.
Regards,
Bob

For some great Indian spices, there is a small store in the covered area next to Value Master at the round about. The store has a little of everything, like most JA stores...but on one side of the store, there are lots of spices of all sorts. I bought some wonderful Indian curry and tandoori marsala spices. You might want to check it out.

me-personally,
don't fool with the pre-packaged stuff
i get fresh from Lucea market or a street-vendor::::
..e.g., thyme, the curly ginger root, cinnamon bush, nutmeg WITH the mace, pimento seeds (aka allspice), and a few other things ... tried hard, last trip, but couldn't find fresh homemade coconut oil ... also get fresh locally stolen-from-bees honey
folks,
it's BEST to do as boardie-Marko said:::>>> ''..DECLARE" that stuff on your USofA form, 'cause they might confisicate it if you're ever searched and they find it and you didn't declare it......if they don't take it from you, they probably WILL give you a tongue lashing for not declaring.
just make SURE the leafy stuff like thyme & cinnamon bush is dry-dry ... they don't like/allow entry-with-it if it's too green. :::: so buy it early-early before your departure date.
be hapPpy
It's all prepackaged stuff from EasySpice. Do you declare a pound of coffee too? We don't do that either.

Bob
