We took and used the Sawyer Picardin based pump spray on our recent trip. It was rated at the top in tests by Consumer Reports, so we tried it and were happy with it. We liked the feel and smell better than the deet based products.

They claim it's less toxic than Deet and I think it works better as well. I know it doesn't melt rubber or remove nail polish like Deet will. I've been using it in JA for two years now and no bites. They sell a lotion, spray as well a treatment for clothing. I get mine direct from the Sawyer online store as Amazon always seems to be sold out. Here is the link:
