The news had a story of a morass fire last night. They happen every year. I drove by today and saw nothing out of the ordinary.Originally Posted by Brian@Chicago

We went many years in April always staying on the morass side. Almost every year there was a fire in the morass. Sometimes there was a little ash floating around but no big deal. No worries.
It was on fire the other day but nothing today
Mid 1990's I was staying at Couples Negril and the gas station near Hedo on the Morass side had fires on all three sides bordering the Morass, didn't stop them from pumping gas!!! Couldn't believe how nonchalant the Jamaican's were pumping gas!!! The fire came right up to the road directly across from Hedo.
Another time in the 2000's the smoke was so thick coming off the Morass and onto the beach that we had to relocate all the way past Travelers to be able to breath!!
