    Feb Hotels on the beach

The family and I (wife and 6 year old) are looking into going back to Negril in Feb (Feb 11-18) for our 3rd straight year (my 6th trip). However we are finding it hard to find accommodations that meet our requirements.

I/we tend to favor the "affordable" beach places. I have stayed at Travellers, Negril Palms, White Sands. I'd like to stay at Rooms, one of these years. But I'm finding that the ones I know/can afford are either $40-$50 a night more than last year (Palms), or completely booked, White Sands, Rooms, and others I have checked.

Travellers has rooms, but we were iffy on whether we wanted to go back. Loved the place, but not crazy about the location.

Anyone have any insight on whether things should become available later? Any suggestion on places to look? THnaks in advance

Would be more helpful if you stated "what you could afford". People will just throw out their favorites without regard to what it would cost YOU without you setting some kind of limits.

    Just my opinion.

I've generally been able to get rooms for under $100 US a night

For around $100 or less, Roots Bamboo, maybe not so family friendly with the loud music and party's several time a week. Hidden Paradise which is on the morass side of the road, nice and quiet back there. The rustic cabins at Kuyaba. Fun Holiday for a little over $100 per night. Not sure but I think the little cabins tucked behind the beach fronts at Mariposa are fairly inexpensive.
