Booking through hotels.com will mean you are in the hotel units. Make sure you see your room first before checking in. You still share all the same amenities with the condos but the extra service you get with Jean makes it a better experience.

I booked through Expedia this year and paid a little less than I was quoted by Jean. The other advantage for me is that I can book with my credit card which has trip insurance built into it so no additional costs. Plus add the flights and hotel together generally means a 150 bucks less a person by the time all is said and done. Although Jean will take a Credit Card they charge some fee over and above what the sites do. I'd go back to if this turns into a pain in the ass but we have stayed there enough that I am not anticipating any issues. I guess we will see though.

I don't think anybody is going to mess with you

Jean also accepts check payments if mailed in advance to their Florida address. I do that to avoid the credit card fee which I think is 3%.

Yeah they charged me 5% to put the deposit down last year. Our friend DK is going to be there with us again this year and she's staying with Jean in one of the properties that she looks after. Been going there for a while as you know figured I would give this a try and see if the 400 dollar savings are worth it or not.
