I think that's a bit harsh, Mikey. A 19 year old travelling on their own for the first time can get in a lot of trouble. As as a parent I can totally understand their feelings. As a former teenager, I'd want to be free!![]()

I was once a 19 year old traveling on my own for the first time and it was to Vietnam! Since when does being over 18 years old not qualify as an adult. This all depends on how you raised your children in my opinion.
They can get into PLENTY of trouble when the penitentiary gates of the AI are opened and those looking for "freedom" can do it anyways. I say let them decide.
You got to show your children that you trust them to do the right thing sometime.
Just my opinion.

we all know what they say about opinions here's mine as a traveler since 74. yes a 19 year old can be overseas fighting for their country and in most cases the environment has some structure. i would go with grand pineapple in case they will feel safer hanging out there. if they want to venture out they can do that also.
this is not the Negril of 40 years ago when i started visiting . many in Negril have become americanized and many but not all are not the kind, sweet gentle people of years ago.
