Trip report No. 1 "the arrival"
Just returned :-(
from 8 days pon de rock.
Before landing the pilot said "It is 91 degrees in Jamaica"
Ok, I don't mind the heat, cold brews are waiting for me.
Went through immigration, snap
Went through customs, snap!
Funny though, there was such a crowd this time that one of the tourist folks in front of me must not have realized that you are supposed to hand that card to the custom lady.
A group of about 15 folks came at her all at once, she was grabbing forms left and right,
and one lady just kept walking past the custom lady without handing her the form.
The custom lady gave her a looooong stare as she walked away,
I could tell she was thinking:
"should I call her back?"
She still had her hand in that frozen position while she pondered the dilemma.
I quickly put my form in her hand and smiled and kept walking.
Got outside and the humidity hit me like a slap in the face.
"Man, no wind! Not even a likkle breeze was to be found.
I looked up, saw Linston's smiling face and forgot all about the heat.
"Man, earlier it was really hot here" he said.
Into the car and we were on our way.
That breeze from driving was all this guy needed.
Hey Linston, mi thirsty mon.
"I know a nice place for a drink" he said.
I was so thirsty that I ordered 2 bottles of Tropical Rhythms to go.
I asked for a bag, she looked at me, then searched for a bag, and found one.
then I realized "this is not a store, its a bar!"
I felt so silly.
So, I grabbed a straw and walked out.
A very nice trip when you ride with Linston.
