I hope and pray that the latest reports are accurate and Jamaica doesnt get hit to hard from hurricane matthew. I know Jamaicans are resilient and strong people but life for most is hard enough without natural disasters. Ty Rob and Lisa for the updates and be safe

Saw a picture online yesterday of a waterspout that was supposed to be in the water off Negril.

    Stay safe!

Jamaica is prepared! The Police Stations are on alert. The NWA has pre-positioned equipment and crews. JPS is working on the localized outages and busy countering the rumors of the "grid being turned off". The latest from CVM news!

At the NHC 11:00 EDT update, Monday, October 3, 2016, on Hurricane Matthew, their forecast is for the hurricane, 24 hours out, to not come any closer to Kingston, Jamaica than 279 statute miles. Hurricane force winds only extend out 35 miles from the storm's center and Kingston has less than a 50/50 chance of even experiencing Tropical Storm winds. Negril has a less that 10% chance of that. Rain is the big issue here, as 5 to 10 inches of rain is expected to fall on extreme eastern Jamaica. Haiti, extreme Eastern Cuba, and the central Bahamas are in the direct path. Thank goodness Jamaica is spared a direct hit again. Let's hope that it gives the others a glancing blow.

Ummm...thanks Rob for airing our laundry...thankfully it's completely dry!!

Looking out the window awhile ago...the sky was completely covered in clouds...oddly enough the sky is currently sharing some of her beautiful blues.
Headed out shortly...will let you all know what's going on around town etc.
