Hey Moose,
Unfortunately Miss Gloria is no longer with us but her Ganja Banana Bread recipe might live on. Her Grandson Barry Allen runs Barry's Rooms

on Negril Beach. Gloria ran Gloria's Sunset Cottages and her Ganja Bread was delicious and robust!!! Barry is a cool guy so check him out your next visit to Negril Beach.
Ok this probably doesn't count for weird, but it was something I've never seen where I live, so I'll just drop it here.
The Nyammings platter at Pushcart has Curried Chicken, Curried Goat, Oxtail and Bushman Stew, each with a different kind of rice that accompanied it, all on one big probably 12"x12" platter for about $19, if I remember right. I liked it all, the oxtail was nice and tender, the goat kinda surprised me, it was a very dark colored meat, but was really good. If you want a nice mix of different types of food, I'd recommend it.

~Just my two cents worth - I mostly only comment on places I've seen and or eaten at personally.
dried peppa shrimp. Was in a small package in a mini mart. Very good but I wasn't sure how you're supposed to eat them, so I just at them right out of the package like jerky.
Can you get Durian fruit in Ja?
Here is some info on Durian.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian. It does smell bad (like what is scented in natural gas) but taste is interesting - Taste is like a soft creamy nut with hint of fermented onion, but more complex than I can describe. The durian nut is good and it is also used as flavoring for ice cream and candy.
I was just joking because I thought it was unique to Southeast Asia.. But I would love to have some in ja.
Where can I get it?
