    Tony's Hut

    This establishment is nice.

    Atmosphere- excellent
    Beer-The coldest

I often look at the big outdoor oven that is opposite the bar.
I have never seen it in operation,
but I was told by Tony that:

"Me can cook anything mi want" in it.
I sure wish he had that sucker up and running
on a day that I would wander by.
    Imagine the smoke! The Aroma!
right there on the beach, wood fired at it's best.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but wasn't that outdoor oven used by Niah?

I was down in late September and they were getting that oven ready to start selling chicken. Looked close to being ready.

Nice. That would be great to sit there. Red stripe, domino, ring toss, connect four and chicken! Hopefully its running by Dec.

I was also there in Sept. and Tony was making improvements. New counter & bar stools ( tree stumps). It appears he is planning to be open for business. Also pretty interesting what is happening next door at the Wayz lot. The bar was open and they had around 10 beds with umbrellas between the bar and the beach. It will be interesting to see what that turns into.

The first time we were at Tony's was in 2008. I got such a kick out of the chicken cage being right next to the oven. Name: Jamaica 097.jpg

We were there last week. No food available yet. They are improving and renovating the original bar.

I hope they don't too much improving and take away from the casual and rustic vibe.

I agree. Tony's is a World class beach bar as it is. Always a stop on a beach/beer walk
