What? No sunset tonight???

Actually there was a good one but we didn't get to see it. You see, when we asked our driver Michael (Michael's On Time Taxi) where was his favorite spot to eat, he told us about a little place downtown just around the bend from the Scotia Bank. He called it Econo (something or other but the name on the receipt was something else) and it was right across the street from the pier. You order at a window and pay, they give you a ticket and when they call out your number it is ready for pickup. There were a few table there but more across the street right near the water. I planned it so we would be there just before sunset. Unfortunately sunset wasn't visible from our vantage point, we were facing a little too much north and the extreme west end of the island blocked our view. Well, the food was very good and cheap. For $1250J Janet got a large jerk chicken and I got a brown stew fish. Both came with salad and rice and peas. It crowded with locals, so it wasn't the time or place to be pulling out the camera for photos of the establishment or the food.
Normally I get up for work at 6 AM every morning, but this vacation it has been more like 8 AM. But today I got up at 6 and walked from Coco way up past long bay to the site of the construction and back again. I was hoping for some nice photos, but the light was never just right. Anyway, here are a few photos from today.

Michael nailed it...other than my neighbourhood fried chicken...they have the best spicy fried chicken & chips in Negril.
The place is locally called the Corner Bar (I can hear Michael's accent with Corner/Econo ) or officially Seaview.

Lisa, I thought he meant the Corner bar from the description.

Yes, Lisa, you are right. It did say Seaview on the numbered slip we had to give them to pick up the food. We didn't see any name on the outside of the building.
SLP, I was about 30 feet away using the zoom on my point and shoot Nikon camera when I took the photo of the pelican.
