Went to Sav

Yesterday we made our pilgrimage to the Easispice Store near the market in Sav to pick up about 10 pounds of spice for family and friends. Of course we took a walk through the market. Picked up some nutmeg, tangerines and mangoes.
The story actually started when we walked out of Home Sweet Home and before I knew it a car had stopped and was backing up to offer a ride. I saw it had white tags and flagged down the approaching red tag taxi. We had a laugh as I told him we always take the "legit" ride. He had to pick up a fare in Red Ground so we took a little detour before heading to the taxi park. While in the taxi park a driver was looking for fares to Sav, but his signage said Negril \ Orange Bay. He said he had to go to the court house in Sav, loaded up his car and put the "charter" sign in the window. We did our business in Sav and then were looking and looking for a Sav\Negril taxi and they were scarce. Finally found one and I swear his last name must have been Andretti! He was flying. I told Janet the kids must be praying for us this very moment. So we made it back to the taxi park in Negril and walked down to Hammonds for a couple of patties. The cashier said "I remember you, your daughter got married at Blue Cave and the cake had purple flowers" I said "Avis, you are right and that was five and a half years ago" Wow, how time flies. Walked down to Scotia Bank to change some more money. As we walked out someone asked if we needed a ride. "Yup, to Home Sweet Home on the west end." "How much will you pay me?" "Route taxi rate, if you are one (he wasn't)". And who showed up? The same driver that started our adventure by picking us up at Home Sweet Home that very morning. We had a good laugh over that as he drove us back.
