Ohhhh babydoll,

To day is the day
Remember we are checking in to the Westender Inn this trip.

It was Day 3 and I wanted to treat baby doll to something different.

All she did was smile and point to her suitcase.

Oh, you are packed already, huh?

"what time will our driver be here?" she asked me.
Oh, about 12:30.

Hmm, we will be there about 3 days...so I re-packed a lot of stuff.

I wanted to try one of the cabins at the Westender Inn.

Lets get away from the regular hotel type.
A cabin with Hot water, Wifi, Fans, Refrigerator and stove and a Veranda.
(I chose a fan cabin, but they have AC cabins too)

We got there early, and the cabin was not ready.
So,
We strolled across the road
(very, very quiet road)

and made our way to the Restaurant.
Paul, was our waiter,
He asked did we want lunch?

No, no, just cocktails for 2.

It had started raining and since we left our luggage in the office,
I was in no hurry.

He made us 2 Banana Daiquiris' that were exquisite.

A tall glass, with chocolate syrup designed up and down the insides of the glass.

It hit the spot. Nice.

Soon,
all was ready,
the drinks were finished and we proceeded to the cabin.

The cabin is just right.
A nice size living room and sofa, Table and chairs,
then you step over into the kitchen with the Fridge and stove, cabinets with dishes and glasses.

The separate Bedroom had a nice size King bed, very thick white sheets.
You must be in the bedroom to go into the bathroom.

We spent the day just hanging on the Veranda, or eating at the restaurant.
My lady loved all the flat screen TV, cable channels and the wifi.
Me, give me the outdoors and I am a happy camper.

At dinner we ordered the stuffed Chicken breast and Mash potatoes and veggies.
The food was prepared like a fine Dining restaurant.
Very, very good.
(they have real time chefs there.)

It cost more, but I loved every morsel.

Paul, the waiter/manager of Kitchen area is well trained an knows his job inside and out.
His manners were top notch and professional.

We strolled over to the beach side of the hotel quite a few times.
There is another real nice Bar by the water,
you can order food and have it brought sea-side if you like.

The waves were crashing on the rocks with force most days.
It was more fun to sit by and watch and listen to the wind swept waves
than calm water.
Very cool at the Westender rocky coast.
A little beach area too.

If you are old enough to remember the opening scene for
the
old Soap Opera named
"The Secret Storm" then that is exactly how the water was hitting the shore.

No worries, the swimming pool by the restaurant is perfectly kept up and a nice size
on windy days like that.

I recommend The Westender Inn for a get-away.

Leave the Negril beach scene behind you once in a while.

They do have a Hotel Van that was always there ready if we needed
to venture to town .
