Re: Beach Restaurants
Had a couple really good meals at Coletta's on the beach road. Beef stew meal with rice & peas and fried chicken & rice & peas. Had a really good red snapper meal at Sun Beach. A nice breakfast at Juicy's on the beach. Had the jerk pork meal at Seastar. Very good. Hope this helps Motorhead. Eat well.

Re: Beach Restaurants
We really enjoy Alfred's and Cosmo's for lunch or dinner on the beach. On the cliffs we really enjoy Ivan's and Pushcart.

Re: Beach Restaurants
Just got back from ten days on the beach.
Here are my highlights:
Breakfast: Alfred's Ocean Palace, great prices, nice portions, good coffee.
Lunch: Patty man on da beach! Can't beat 2 patties for $300j. Only saw the jerk pork guy on the beach once, was very good and only $500j or maybe $5, I forget.
Fruit: Miss Hartiss (?) the fruit lady on the beach, sweet lady, top notch hand picked fruits and great service. Had a nice sweet pineapple and a few bananas.
Snacks: Canoe's fries, onion rings and/or conch fritters or whatever they call them.
Dinners: Will break this down into dinners for what:
Fish: Definitely Quality's Sea Breeze, hands down best fish I've had. Ate there twice.
Lobster: See Quality's above. Also cooked to perfection.
Jerk chicken: Kool Vybes, nice place, chicken was terrific, with or without the extra sauce. Ate here twice too, had chicken and then pork. Pork was very good, but not as good as Red Dragon.
Brown stew chicken: Red Stripe Catamaran (yea mon!)
Fried chicken: Connie's Country Western Pub. Ask if she has any of Moose's creamed callaloo or potato salad available. Yes, I got to cook with her and we made these!
Added to list for next time:
Chicken Lavish, loved their chicken, some of the most tender chicken I've ever had.
Sunset after Dark: burgers. Unf did not seem to be open.
No Name Bar: would love to try their boston style jerk pork. Just love their signage.

~Just my two cents worth - I mostly only comment on places I've seen and or eaten at personally.

Re: Beach Restaurants
Still haven't tried Kool Vybes pork...will have to get on that!
I would imagine that Kool Vybes' pork would be closer to Boston style over the Red Dragon pork...I can't think of anybody in Negril that really offers the Boston style flavours.
Moose...you could always take the inland route next time you are headed to or back from Negril and check out a place called Borders...yummmm...they are about the best Boston style this side of the island.

Re: Beach Restaurants
A hidden gem is, I think, the restaurant at Country, Country! They change their menu every 1 or 2 days. The chef knows how to cook a fish.

Re: Beach Restaurants
Border jerk is great! We plan to stop there next month.
