We are planning on staying at Home Sweet Home our next trip. Their rates are reasonable and its cliffside with a pool. Seems to be a small intimate place with pretty good reviews.

"Catcha Gardens has a room up front with a water view. Check out their website, they also have a pool. "
That would be what LTU Villas used to call "1 Up". I've stayed in that room and you can see the sea - kind of.
Since you are used to the quiet and solitude of the WestEnder I'd suggest you find a place on the cliffs rather than the beach. Under $140 - seaside - might be a little tough - check out Blue Cave Castle, SamSara and Banana Shout - Banana Shout's Rooster cottage has a full fridge and cook top. Its not right on top of the water but its two-stories and you have a great view of the sea from that upper balcony.
Hopefully something has been booked by now, most places that are decent will be booked solid by now!
Trip #59 most of February
I appreciated all of the ideas and were getting ready but unfortunately my husband had a heart attack in November - pretty darn serious but he is a very healthy guy, so he has rebounded strong. However, between he and his doctor they decided that perhaps Jamaica this year was not a good place to be. His life was saved because he had a cell phone and smart enough to use it when he was way out in our summer place gardening when he only had a pain level of "3"....but with cold sweats and a weird feeling in his arms, he figured he was a heart attack. If it wasn't for the magic of emergency support. and some incredible clot busting medication... he wouldn't have made it, so he is feeling a little insecure of being in a country where he is not sure of the medical response. I am very hopeful that next year, we can celebrate in Jamaica...for me, I really miss not planning and looking forward to a trip. I am retiring in May, so at least I have that to look forward to!! Yipee.....thanks and believe me, if (when?) we go again, we will be ready!
Oh my goodness! Thank God he is ok and I can certainly understand his feelings about going! Jamaica will always be there for another trip. When he recovers fully I'm sure you two will spend lots of time on the island! God Bless you two!
Rondal Village is very inexpensive, we have stayed there many times on the beach side, nice little property. This year we will be staying across the street for 100.00 dollars a night, quiet, I don't mind crossing the street. And no there will be not discounted prices. We will be staying there the last week in Feb. See ya on the beach
