With Niah having been forced to move and whereabouts on West End apparently unknown who has the best patties on beach near CCLP?

I don't have an answer to your primary question, but I do know where Niah's new location is. Back in August we saw him setting up shop on the beginning of the West End Rd, in the vicinity of Quality's Sea Breeze. Sorry, can't pinpoint the exact location as there are a lot of little shops around there - but he is across from the water on the same side of the road as Quality's, Mi Yard, etc.
Niah and Miss Sonia are the only one's left in town that make them similarly...large, pan fried and individually handmade popover/turnover type pattie...and as has been mentioned Niah is now in the West End.
Norman is still selling his on the beach, Aunties Cheap Thrill and a place in front of the Sunrise property (can't remember the name) always carries them. Hammonds is my favourite, but you have to make a run to the round about area to get them. All these patties are baked and more commonly known and consumed.
Does Hammonds serve all day?
and do they offer Chicken Patties?
Thank you!
I've been by there a handful of times, but always wondered if it was like a McDonalds for patties! No offense... I had an amazing chicken patty in Sav but I'd never be able to find the place again. I have a farm store kind of nearby that makes them take-and-bake style and they are good, but I want to try Hammonds in April. My local place only does beef patties. And big ups to Norman but I don't like the coco bread crust.
Darn the clock ticks, but so slow sometimes!!!
SEE YOU SOON!!!
Love Livin
Hammonds offers chicken, beef, cheese & beef and veg patties. Approx. hours 9am until at least 6pm...4:30pm on Sundays. They sell Tastee Patties, similar in style but to me a lot yummier than Juici and Mothers patties...all Jamaican fast food.
The pattie you had in Sav was probably a Tan Tan pattie...they're probably the best in Sav.
I've never had the cocoa bread wrapped patties by Norman or anyone else and pretty sure I never would...but some people seem to like it. Norman does sell his patties without the cocoa bread.
If you want another variety in Negril...Out of Town Pastry in the far West End has some pretty good patties also.
Miss Sonia is located near Sweet Spot...across from Rooms Negril area.
It's only Norman's veggie patties are the ones made with coco bread crust.
If you are worried about something, do something about it. If there is nothing you can do, why worry!
Thanks for confirming. I knew he was around there somewhere!
Another lesser known spot is Ally's Little Sunset Hut, across from Negril Escape. He makes large pan fried patties to order, but they do take some time to prepare. I usually stop by and place an order, then have Ally deliver them to my hotel.
Also, don't forget Out of Town Pastry in the deep West End. Not the same as those mentioned, but they are made fresh daily and offer loafs in addition to patties. The ackee loaf is fantastic for breakfast!
