Just a thought....Would you rent a house or a small independent place

What's your thoughts on the best independent place to stay? on da beach. Mom's, Fire Fly, Tree House. We USE to stay at Rhodes a lot. But... I won't go there. That place was perfect for us. Away from hustle and out of town. Place was pretty much ours. Snorkeling right at our feet, plus our long tyme fren use to work there and was close to his community. (were we hung out at) Just curious.

Vince, I have stayed at Moms place a couple times in the past, ( you can read my reviews..lol... ) Its actually quite a nice little place, I'm surprised I don't hear about it more on the board.
They have a great bar, restaurant, the seating is quite nice ( romantic even ). The rooms are just basic, but every room has a nice balcony, or terrace, and the price is right, at keast it was a few years ago.
The only drawback that I recall was no ac, maybe that has changed.

This place I have been eye balling. Might be able to pull a early summer trip off this year!! (nothing official yet) But hey, its a start of a possible trip. Got get the ducks in a row, to make it happen. We do like to do local style ways. Yea, don't see much hype about Mom's Place either. Saw a few reviews on TA, that's all.
