What are space bags? The only things close that come to my mind are those storage bags you suck all the air out of. OK at home with vacuum, but what do you do down there for the return?

Used to have an issue with the winter coat, but I got that covered now. Couple of years back, I got a super travel coat from Costco - above the knee, down, waterproof, good to -20 and it squishes into a bag that's about 8 in long and 3 in diameter and weighs millegrammes! Doubles as a neck pillow in flight and hangs off the side of my backpack. It can be squished into the front pouch of the back pack, too.

Taking note of all your packing tips. Less stuff, more fun. I keep reminding myself that I spend more time in my bathing suit during the day. i plan to lighten if more next trip - hopefully in June!
