Custom troubles?

Has anyone been having unusual problems getting back into the states? A relative on mine coming from the Dominican had a 2 1/2 hour customs delay, which they said was not an issue a few weeks before. Just wondering.

i'm looking forward to seeing what happens when my husband and son (10 year green card holders traveling with haitian passports) try to get back in when we land in charlotte.

we only have an hour between getting our luggage, getting through customs, re-checking our luggage and running to our connecting flight.

should be interesting.
