Philly Tap - I drank it when I lived there.
Miami Tap - I drank it when I lived there.
Negril Tap - I drink it when I visit there.
Cheers.
strangely a lot of locals won't drink the water, our driver said he doesn't trust it.
No surprise there. After all this IS Jamaica where a deep distrust of the government is common and judging from where the government has been in the past, probably has some merit but......
The water system inherited from the Colonial Government was very good and remains so (for the most part) to this day especially in touristy areas.
I live in an area with no pipe water and drink captured rain water without treatment and (to date) with no consequences though I am changing that this year is a filtration system.
The water in Negril is (I believe) very safe to drink.

I think our driver has an inherent mistrust of the government. For good reason. They just built a big power plant next to his house which violated the zoning and was done with bribes. He's in a big fight with them.
We buy 3 bokkles of wata from Chineymon on the way into town, fill them up out of the tap the rest of the week. Keep them cold in fridge or cooler. Gotta stay hydrated when drinking beer and rum in the hot sun all day. Love the Jamaican tap water.
we love the Ja tap water, very soon come
Mexico and Cuba are cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
