Negril.com - For the vacation that never ends!
Last year, because of the Olympics, the celebration was set for the last week of July. This year it will be held in Negril from July 27 to August 2.
Negril.com - For the vacation that never ends!
Have any of you guys done jet skiing there or zip lining? I was interested in trying something I've never done before?
You won't find jet skis in Negril at this time.
You might like the JamWest adventure park. There was just a thread about some races they are hosting, but they do have other attractions you might enjoy. https://www.jamwest.com/

You can do some basic zip lining at YS Falls or Jam West Speedway. Nothing too elaborate, but good enough for a introduction if you've never done it before. I once did a full zip line course up near Ocho Rios, but that is a few hours away from Negril.
You won't find any jet skis in or around Negril (to the relief of many Negril Boardies). Instead, hire a glass bottom boat to take you snorkeling on the reef or in the caves of the West End.
ETA: Livin beat me to it, with basically the same info! I took too long to click "Post".
I've never actually gone out on a glass bottom boat, but I've been offered for $25 us. I'm sure with a group of 5 you might be able to get it down a little bit. I try not to haggle too much, as with the taxis, if you ask how much and don't like it, walk down the beach about 10 yards to the next guy with a boat. You can ask to go out to Booby Cay (be sure to wear or bring sandals or water shoes), or organize a sunset cruise over to Rick's Cafe. There are also some larger catamaran boats that go out from a couple of places. Those cost more but some include drinks and light snacks.

Another place you might like to visit is Half Moon Beach. You can arrange a taxi to take you and pick you up. It's up the road about 20 minutes or so. It's a private owned property with a beautiful, natural beach front complete with food and beverage to purchase, sometimes live music, and their very own pirate island (with flushing toilets!). I've heard various reports of the actual cost. When I went, it was $5 to use the beach and $5 for the boat ride to the island. Some report that it only cost $5 for the boat ride, and no charge for the beach entry. They have great snorkeling and I've heard various reports about whether there is snorkel gear for rent or not. I'd bring my own if you are truly interested in that particular activity.
