Questions regarding a Portland then Negril trip

i asked this last year but we are close now to reserving an air flight
we have been to Negril many times and we love it but we are looking for a bit of a change we have decided on my wife’s and my february trip to visit Portland for a few nights and then go to negril
my first question as we are close to being able to make air reservations is to ask about a flight . it seems to me that we need to fly into kingston and fly back from Mo Bay. i gather it is a long ride from Mo Bay to Portland probably costly. is that the best way?
i am going to check on the cost of a flight from portland to negril

my husband and i split our honeymoon between blue mountains and negril.

what we did was we flew into kingston, went to the blue mountains (LOVED strawberry hill), drove back down to kingston, took the knutsford express to negril (great ride, reasonable price) and flew home out of montego bay.

i would recommend you do similarly- fly into kingston, take the kuntsford express (or private taxi) to portland, arrange a ride to negril then fly home out of mobay.

You can come in either way....take the knutsford from mobay to ochee to pa, or take the knutsford from kingston to ochee to pa. you have to go to ochee to catch the bus to pa. I don't know if the knutsford goes to the mobay airport before heading out. you can then take the knutsford from pa to negril using the same route
