    Re: Cocolapalm

I just came back from Coco.
I stayed in the new section in a standard room (604). 50 steps to the beach.
The higher the number, the closer you are.
We could have upgraded to a Deluxe room for an additional $20 a day; we opted not to.
The standard room served us well. Comes with a coffee maker, as all the rooms do, and a small packet of coffee that makes two cups; there is also tea.
There is a small refrigerator that is large enough to hold supplies....i.e. beer, juice, etc...
The disadvantage to the standard room is that there is no patio/ balcony, but as i said, steps to the beach. Our room was also ground level.
The only other "issue" is the hallway works like an echo chamber, and some people coming back late at night weren't so quiet.

thank you mcamp. i stayed at Coco in Feb in a 900 something room that was great exercise. one friend has a bad wheel, he needs to be close to the beach, pool, and food. he was in 424. not having much luck getting a guaranteed room number, may have to go with something closer to the beach.

They do have a couple of beach front rooms.
Walk right from your patio and onto the beach.
They looked nice, and would consider if I return to this resort.

i'd like to return to Coco, just can't risk my friend having to do steps or walk 1/8 mile to and from the beach. found a few alternatives today where all of the rooms are relatively close and have no steps.

As I said, go with the beach front rooms; ground level and directly on the beach....can't get any closer.
