Jenn, thank you for taking the time to write a trip report! I enjoy reading other people's experiences & views of Negril.
And yes, I get the "Fred Flinstone feet" too! I don't drink beer, not sure what makes them blow up. My feet were so swollen last trip that I could barely walk barefoot in the sand - had to wear tennis shoes the last couple of days. My theory is that my feet are swelling from the Deet in the bug spray. I have been spraying my legs & feet with Deep Woods Off the past few trips due to Zika & Chik V and have had horrible swelling. Will be using lemon & eucalyptus oil only next trip & will see what happens.
