At least we know all the time and effort and money spent on disrupted people's lives is for a good cause. They have pretty much managed to eliminate drug use in north America.

Well as a woman traveling alone and this will be my fifth trip to Jamaica, and the only place I have been that is on my passport (other times when in the Army), I have no doubt that I will be more than likely subject to closer attention than most, so will be sure and wash all clothes and vacuum out the suitcase for any seeds or stems, lol!![]()
I've been traveling solo to Jamaica since the early eighties & the only time I was ever even "patted down" was when I was pregnant with my son, 25 years ago! I thank God for that, because I am now traveling from Ja. to the US, more often, with short stays in the US. I guess, since I live in Ja. I am not the usual suspect. I leave with two bags in my checked baggage, one, a duffle rolled up. When I return, I am coming back with TWO checked bags (at the limit) and my carryon PLUS my computer bag (which is BIG with many compartments), so I am a different kind of traveler. I'm coming back with the things I can't get in Ja!
