    There are some pure sativas out there that take 16-24 weeks to be ready to harvest, so that's getting pretty close to 6 months.

    It really all depends on the lineage of the seed(s).

    You can get plants that will be ready in as little as 6-7 weeks (indicas) to the sativas like I described before that could take up to 16-24 weeks.

    Right, but six months and nine months isn't the same thing, and six month strains are pretty rare indeed. Pretty much only equatorial strains go that long. Booger is pretty much on point with what he said. Especially about the purple, most purple strains need cool night temps to turn purple, though not all of them do. Purple Skunk will actually get purple straited trichomes as well as calyx's and stems.
