Yes - bud on a stalk, well cured. Wasn't wet or hard to smoke or harsh on the lungs, but wasn't so dry that it crumbled into a powder when broken up.

I'm not sure that this is the proper forum for that? I'll wait for a go ahead from Rob or Lisa before delving too deep into that one. There are many books and articles on the topic. The gist of it is that it slows the moisture loss, resulting in smoother product. It's how I have always done it, you just need huge jars or turkey bags to finish the cure after initial "drying".

So yeah, it's definitely difficult with their climate, which is why it was so impressive. Best I've had on the island.
