    Two weeks and counting

I'm very excited for this trip; this being my 4th time going to Negril/JA.....my first time my honeymoon in '95.
We went in '08, and '09 with the kids, and this being the first time since our honeymoon going away without the kids for a week.
In past trips we visited Dunns River/ Ocho Rios, YS and Black River, Mayfield, and Treasure Beach.
I plan to fill in some gaps this time around....Pelican Bar, maybe do a day exploring the West End....and this trip being the 1st non-AI in JA, checking out the many eateries, and bars; staying at Coco LaPalm.
Definitely some chill time on the beach, and mix in some snorkeling. Weather in New England, and expecting snow tonight; I'm in much need of some warm weather.

    Yea!
    Get out and enjoy!
Walk the beach and eat and drink, then

Find a good driver and stick with him for Westend visits.

I figure on having the same person do both if I'm happy with the service for the first trip.....I have checked out many of the drivers posted here and at Trip Adviser.
The last time around we used Alfred; RIP. We also used Talk of the Town tours (Sienna) who had some nice drivers, but I guess TOTTT is also no longer.
The Pelican Bar trip would be relaxed, with a stop on the south coast beach.
I've never been beyond Rick's on the West End.....would like to venture beyond the lighthouse and have lunch; pack a cooler, etc...
I prefer to travel at a relaxed pace, and be more spontaneous....not this perfectly scheduled itinerary.

I believe that is exactly what you should do. If you have to be someplace at an exact time, it's not really a vacation. You may have to quit doing something that you are having a great time with just to do something that was pre-planned. I say go with the flow. If you do feel like jumping in a bus or cab then do it because you really want to, not because you already paid for it and feel obligated.
