Surpring you mentioned the drivers and race teams voices because those who had never visited the track before commented on how many useful runoff areas that there are. They also were pleased with with other safety aspects of the track as their families were in the viewing stands.

In my pictures, I took them at some risk to myself as to feature the subjects and not the series of fences, walls and chain link fencing which would have ruined the photos.

Please feel free visit the track and take a few laps for yourself. When I saw the accident, I assumed someone had to be seriously hurt. But due to the impact absorbing designed into the track, the injuries we're minor.

No track will ever be designed to be absolutely safe as motor racing, by it's very nature is dangerous sport.
