After we got massages (Anika is the better masseuse out of the two..more on that later), Mr T came over and we headed to town to figure out a plan for getting the I phone we brought for him unlocked. Digicel couldn't or wouldn't do it so we went to a phone shop that I think was called Juicy Jays? We had to leave the phone there for 2 days (they actually had it done it one day). We then headed to Canoe. I had every intention of searching for Sea Glass but the Dirty bananas led to even more dirty bananas and the sea glass searching never did occur. We ordered conch fritters, fried plantains and fries as appetizers to the dinner that I was really looking forward to at Quality across the street from Canoe.![]()
After chilling a bit we all decided to walk down the beach, with the destination of the corner bar in mind. We need to go to hilo for a few supplies too. DH stopped at a shop along the way to shop for drums to add to our JA drum collection at home. We hit Bourbon Beach for cold Red Stripe and some rum punch. yummy on a hot day. I have been craving the fried chicken from corner bar for 2 years. Something was different with the chicken this time and it had some kind of sauce on it (BBQ?) It was still delish, just different. I shared by chicken with 2 little puppies that stopped by our outside table. They were street smart. I put 10 fries on the pavement for them and they didn't eat them and instead only wanted chicken. First time I saw that happen.![]()

After dinner, We went to HiLo for a few supplies. I decided I wanted to make us all brunch the following day and purchased necessary supplies. While at HiLo, Mr. T said I had to get some Tastee cheese and buns. He said his family always eats it for Easter. Sweet bun bread and cheese wasn't sounding good to me at the moment but I'll give it a go. I bought several bottles of rum and coffee while I was there too.![]()

We headed back to the Nirvana and Mr. T went home. I think we wore him out. I booked a massage the following day for us both with Sandra and Anika, 2 masseuses that come to Nirvana on a regular basis. We went to bed early and woke up late.
The bartender at Canoe has beautiful eyes. I tell her that every time I see her.

I think this report is turning into a Negril Foodie report. Sorry.
After we finished dinner and was talking to Quality, Mr. T's grandmother walked by. He called her in and she joined us, ordering a Malta. This moment was one of the best of my trip. What a cool night.
After several more cocktails, and subs, we decided to go across the street to Quality, owned by a guy that goes by the name of Quality. Mr. T grew up with Quality (Alfred) and said he was a wood carver that also has a shop just down the road. We ordered a round of drinks. I could swear I saw on this forum somewhere that they served a red snapper stuffed with callaloo and cheese. I asked the waitress for exactly that but she said that is not on the menu and never has been. Bummer. I opted for Escovitch red snapper with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. DH & Mr. T had fish with coconut sauce. This meal did not disappoint and is one of the best I've had in Negril. Quality came out to hang out with us for an hour and we talked. I asked him how he got into the restaurant biz and he said everyone always told him what a great cook he is and that he should open a restaurant. So he did. I craved more food from Quality my remaining days in Negril, and still do sitting here at home as I write this report.![]()
We headed back to Canoe for some french press coffee. That wired me. Mr. T was done and close to home, so we caught a cab back to Nirvana. Even after the 10 dirty bananas and numerous Red Stripes, I had energy. I surprised myself. I convinced DH to go to Alfred's because I knew they had a band that night. We walked down the sidewalk instead of the beach. Really thankful for all the kind sidewalks in Negril. The band in general left alot to be desired, except for the conga player. He was an older guy and had it going on. Mr. T later told me that he sits in with alot of different bands. We had a few drinks and went home to crash out. Tomorrow was my birthday so I didn't want to wake up feeling rough.![]()
