Hi all,
I'm a bit slacking with my trip reports. I know.
I just wanted to drop some food highlights out there.
Here they are not necessarily in any order:
Kamara's on the beach a few doors down from Sunnyside: Garlic butter shrimp, $15. Terrific, well worth it, would definitely get this again. Way better than Charela's shrimp pasta and that was $20.
One Mile cookshop, just across the parking area from Drifters, a few bar stools for seating. Brown stew chicken, $700j, very good deal for the money and was pretty damn good to boot.
Coco la Palm, great breakfasts on the beach, about $1450j for two eggs, bacon, toast and home fries and banana bread. The banana bread is awesome. Bonus, they open up for breakfast at 7:30.
Rockhouse (Drinks) highly recommend the Purple Rain. Awesome drink to have while waiting for a nice sunset.
Seastar fried wings and French fries were pretty damn good.
The brown stew chicken on board the Red Stripe catamaran was pretty good.
Niah's patties, jerk chicken patty. $500j and hand delivered by the man himself. Also had a taste of his vegetable soup and it was damn good. Vegetable patties also available. Flag him down on the beach if you see him to order for the next day or stop by his shop two doors down from Quality. (or 4 doors down past Westland Mountain road)
Mini bananas from the vendors on the beach. Perfect to recharge potassium levels.
And of course, cannot forget Quality, had the pan seared lionfish, was terrific, great meal and only $13. Help eat all the lionfish from the waters!
Don't be hungry my friends
