I just heard from the owners of Sea Grape that Juicy, their long-time cook, has passed-away after an extended illness. If you've ever stayed at the Villas, then you know that Juicy is part of the magic of vacationing there. An exceptional cook, he would deliver breakfast or dinner right to our veranda on the days we didn't feel like going out (actually, many days we preferred to stay in because Juicy's cooking was that good.) A gentle soul, he made sure you had what you needed for a perfect vacation, but would disappear when you wanted privacy.

Juicy had been the cook at Sea Grape for 20 years, but has been a fixture around Negril for over 30. I understand he once had his own restaurant, but that was before my time. May he rest in peace.
