On the advice of Negril.com boardies, I used Luxurious Carib during my solo stay in Negril May 2017. Andre picked me up at Sangster on a hot rainy evening and got me safe to Coco LaPalm in time for last call at the bar. Jay returned me to Sangster 16 days later although I was mighty tempted to tell him to turnaround on numerous occassions. Dwight accompanied me on a 3-hour tour of Westmoreland and Hanover parishes. The cost of the airport transports and the 3-hour tour were very reasonable and well worth a generous tip each trip. Dwight seemed to know everyone everywhere we went. All 3 drivers were exactly on-time everytime with clean, fresh air-conditioned vehicles (I sometimes had to ask if we could turn off the a/c and open a window to smell the Jamaican flora). Dwight even escorted me into the ScotiaBank to obtain cash for the second half of my stay in Negril (Dwight isn’t a small man) and I was very glad to have him with me. I will certainly return to Negril often with my wife and family. Luxurious Carib Tours will be my third phone call when planning my trips (hotel, flights, LCT).
You also should let those people staying in a room with a kitchenette know that your private transfer will be happy to stop at the massive grocery store in MoBay. I have stayed in a room with a kitchen about half the time I have travelled to Negril and once you get to Negril the last thing you want to do is hit the grocery store, once you see the water nothing else matters. So it's nice to pick up beer and some rum cream, eggs, you know , staples. You can get vegies and fruit off the veggie truck once your in Negril, but you have time for that later. Also there is a little place about half way to Negril before you get to Lucie that has great rum punch and our driver doesn't mind stopping at all. Private transfer is the way to go for sure.
